Skakavitsa Hut

"Skakavitsa" is the first mountain hut in Bulgaria, built between 1921 and 1922. It is located not far from Skakavitsa Waterfall, among coniferous forest at the foot of the eastern slope of Mount Kabul.
It consists of two buildings.

There is almost no A1 and Vivacom coverage at the hut, but there is internet from Starlink.

Skakavitsa Hut – Rila Lakes Lodge

This is one of the options for the trek from Skakavitsa Hut to Rilski Ezera (Rila Lakes) Hut. The trail markings are abundant at first, but after the first junction, they become unclear and start to fade. This is quite important, as there is no shortage of misleading detours and less-than-obvious turns. Nevertheless, the route is completely passable, and if you use a navigation app or a GPS device to help you along, you shouldn't run into any problems.
